I don't have much knowledge on m6 but I've heard the more discs the better for high performance high rpm applications

I was reading reviews and some were saying that a 1000 hp twin disc was more streetable than the 700hp of the same brand. Most said the 700 single disc were more stiff and the 1000hp feels more like factory? Could this be true or is it just the difference in a twin disc compared to a single disc?

I'm not for sure but I think it's just the difference in the two. I wouldn't think it has much to do with the tune.

I went from the Monster stage three to the Mantic 9000 twin. The Monster was a six puck single. It had a little stiffer pedal feel. My experience was it chattered a lot when trying to slip it. However I could dump the clutch all day with no problem. I think it was good for about 800 rwhp. The Mantic is a twin disc. To me it has much better pedal feel. Much more like stock. It's rated for higher HP ( not sure the exact #) it'll slip nice with almost no chatter. When I mean almost none I mean once a week maybe a couple little bucks. I think that is more me than the clutch. Again I can dump the clutch all day with no issues. I'd buy it again. Sorry I can't be more specific about the way they are engineered or the physics behind it but that my real life experience.

I had a monster single disk 800+whp Daily Driver, it was stiff but never had any issues with it. No grinds/slips and like anything else you get used to it than it feels natrual...I liked it

Maybe it varies by brand? I've also read that the twin disc is easier to slip when trying to launch at the track or just when trying to take of from a red light in normal driving with a healthy cam. Is this correct or would a single disc be easier? Any input and whatever else y'all might have to add is appreciated.
I have no experience with twins, the pedal pressure is going to depend on the diaphragm pressure plate. My Textrellia was phenomenal and drove like stock, BUT its looking pretty thin. I'm gonna have to upgrade, grrrr I've heard the RAM's are very good and the McLeod's are too.

Just stay away from Spec! They have a HARD AZz pedal.

Thanks for all the input guys. I've been looking at the Monster and Mantic clutches. I keep flip flopping as to rather i should go with the single disc or get the twin disc that can handle more hp than I will ever get close to. I'm pretty sure after this cam install ill be needing one soon.

Street Slayer is pretty sweet setup and it is rebuildable (so replacement cost down the line is cheaper if you drive your card hard or are keeping it for a long time...)

Thanks Brim, ill look into it. I plan on keeping this car as long as I'm alive and maybe passing it on to my daughter one day.

No worries man, they're all gonna be pretty good. Some obviously better than others but it also should be determined by use of the car.

I agree with all others in here so far though, the ones listed are not bad options.

I do like the Mantic's and that is what we sell (FSP), but I personally have experience with the Monster Single Disk stage III on my own car as it fit my needs. Also I got it a phenominal deal on it which helped sway me lol.

So Mantic/Monster/Street Slayer and absolutely McLeods should be in the conversation are all awesome clutches.

The only thing I can really tell you is that the Street Slayer clutch kit has been reviewed as being just like OEM in terms of release point and feel, but has a higher rating for horsepower. It's kind of pricey, but everyone that has had it, says it's worth the coin. You may want to look into it.
