Ok tbss1 and bbfan24. You've had your cars long enough! :O)

So what do you think? How's the ride, power, handling? Happy with how she runs?

You can contact the dealership ahead of time to find out how much thier fee is. Its definately worth looking in to if you want to buy a camaro for less than $500 above MSRP.

Alright i'll ask but the dealer in AZ that im dealing with didnt say anything about this, guess i'll ask till i find someone there that knows something. Sure would be nice to save the $1100 it'll cost to ship Matson. Still would be cheaper that buying from our local dealers.

i did a "courtesy delivery" from a dealer on the east coast to get my other Chevy here on the island (delivered to waipahu servco from GM factory) it was $1500 in '06 i think its $2000 now (may be more).... that was cheaper than shipping across the states then on a boat to here...

the dealers here could easily charge a few hundred bucks but then they would lose the sale of the cars and get stuck with the inventory - so they charge big bucks to discourage that practice....

at least we can get cars at MSRP - but i wish i could get a camaro for a few thousand let than MSRP (without waiting till next year or so)

Congrats!!! Sounds like a great deal, especially for a 2SS!

It was Camaro Scotty who offered me "Drop Ship" as well as Lingenfelter. That would have been my second choice if nobody else offered MSRP on island. Cant believe the markup here. Hope they dont make a sale charging $10-$15K above sticker.

It would be tough having your car so close, but yet so far. Did they let you drive it?

Ok everybody. I'm sorry I haven't been online to talk to anybody, but I've been having so much fun in my car.

So, I got the black 1SS/RS M6 from Servco Windward. I picked him up Tuesday morning... and yes, I said him. I know everyone says cars are women like ships, and this has to be a girl because of it's curves. But this car is a beast! Way too powerful to be a girl and I don't find female bodybuilders attractive.

The ride is so much fun. There is so much power at any gear. It's so easy to pick up speed quickly, but I'm more of a cruiser. I love driving slow and listening to the low rumble of the exhaust.

This car attracts a lot of attention. The first night I had him, I was sitting at Kapiolani park by the tennis courts with my girlfriend and I saw a cop car drive by really slow. A few minutes later I saw him come back the other way. Then a few minutes later I noticed a couple of cops standing in the median about 50 feet away, and they started walking towards me. But as they were walking in my direction my girlfriend and I decided to leave. They ended up waving at me so I waved back. I would have stayed to talk with them had they walked over earlier, but it was already late and we were tired.

I need to get ready for work now, but I will return to maybe give a better review. Thanks for reading.

Nash

Looks like I will have to try drop ship route. Its driving me crazy that JN and Cutter(both asking over msrp) are getting a ton of allocations while Servco(at msrp) is barely getting any.

anyone remember the initial preorder allocation the Hawaii dealers had?

CONGRATS to the new owners!!
