So back on the topic of these LS7 heads. I am running the NF cam. What kind of increase could I expect to see by upgrading to these? Everything I've seen says head upgrade is not worth the coin but I'd sure be interested to see about these LS7 heads. To be clear, heads, change map sensor connector, retune? Also I plan on TT down the road(spring). Would these be worth it or would I have to dump these like I will with my headers and CAI? Then what do I do about exhaust manifold? Will LS3 manifold work? Thx. I love this thread. It's like a forum inside a forum. But with relaxed rules.

From what I've been reading most aftermarket heads claim to increase hp by 30-40. Not sure how true this is..... I don't remember if it was the TSP heads or the Mast heads but they said they will work with a LS3 intake.

If your going TT your gonna need a different cam, TSP's do require an Ls7 intake BUT the have a thicker deck for boost!

Yeah I was reeeeeaaaaal close to buying heads...I just couldnt pony up the extra to that extent right now. Car is pd off and a hobby car, maybe next fall. . BUT, I also know I'm flirting with the end of my fuel supply if this thing puts down what Rhino thinks it will as is. The beauty of FI. Low 600 range I will hit my stopping point for this street car until I break something and it needs replacing.

Have you heard how your build is coming? When do they expect to be done with it?

Ls7 heads will pretty much out flow and out perform any ls3 head out there you might see around 510-530 rwhp with the night fury cam (spitballing of course) duskss got to 508 with his stock ported ones and supporting mods so I'm pretty sure 515-530 is a more realistic number

Really? Lethal said it would work with AGP's TT kit. I know they use it with the SC's they install. In fact Nick was going to put one on his car. AGP said I should be able to put down 750-800 with that cam and their base kit. I've still got a few months before I pull the trigger so I can due lots of research. Just out of curiosity what would you recommend Litle? I always value your input. Also I know I'll need a stronger drivetrain. I'm already planning for that. Thx

You can use it, you can use just about any cam...just not maximizing what it could be with a properly spec'd cam specific for a TT setup......

I'm pretty sure it's done. Just got a few texts from him. I'll let him post up the final numbers. Very nice increase with no boost change.

So leave some power on the table or have a cam speced. Any market for used cams? Don't see many on the boards.

Couldn't you run it with the cam now and see how it feel to you performance wise, and if you aren't happy with it then you could have one spec'd. It would suck going that route just because of the extra labor cost of going back in to add a different cam though.
On buying a used cam I personally wouldn't do it but there are people that buy them.

To be honest that would probably be the route I go. If it does make as much as AGP said it would I'll be happy. I'm not looking to be in 1000hp club. I still want to drive it on the street. I'll also have the added cost of drivetrain to work on so upgrading a cam that is working ok just to get a little more out of it would be down the road. Thx for everyone's input.
