The GT500 is flat out a worse bang for your buck than the SS. It's unfair to compare a car that is so much more expensive than the SS. The fact that the SS is so close to the GT500 looks worse on Ford's part than it does on Chevy's. If they made a z28 at roughly the GT500 prices, the GT500 would probably lose. The GT500 is not a good car for the price it is. Almost every performance car priced near the GT500 outperforms it. The 2010 Mustang GT is actually a pretty good price for the performance you get. The GT>GT500 in terms of the bang for buck.

How many performance cars are priced near it? The Z06 is more expensive, no?

The base Corvette doesn't outperform it, does it?

Where you get the real bang for your buck is modding the GT500 to crazy power levels on stock internals.

There are a lot of 4 door coupes that cost below $50k, have 540HP, and run low 12's at 117mph? You seem new to the muscle car game, try sitting back and learning a bit before you put your foot in your mouth.....

This thread is funny, in that it has MORE Ford Guys than Camaro Guys. Im on this Forum because i have something similar to the Camaro. I don t know why someone with a Ford, that s not even considering buying a Camaro, would even join this forum?? Im an active member on CorvetteForum(have been for a long time) and you don t see any Ford lovers over there! I know i wouldn t join a Mustang Forum. I couldn t care less about a Mustang. Ill bet probably none of the Camaro owners on here are members on a Mustang forum either, unless they went from owning a Mustang to a Camaro. I ve owned several Ford Mustangs, and modded all of them. But i moved on to what i learned was best for me and haven t looked back. I guess the Mustang guys that are on here can t help it.....Maybe they ll learn something, like i did...? ........Its just a matter of time- imo

Its easy. It's called C A R - E N T H U S I A S T. It seems only people with bloated ego's think only their cars can do this or that. Its great you love your vette. Its your choice to not acknowledge or learn about anything else. You owned some fords and modded them. Great ! You now prefer a Vette. Great as well. But because you choose not indulge on any forum but a GM one everyone else should be like you huh ?

Hmmm this forum on Camaro5 is called CAMARO VS. Not Camaro vs only people who own a GM should post here.

I'm learning something all right. I'm learning quite a few things actually. Heck I have log on the Vette forums as well and have learned quite a bit there too. Because of that knowledge I am quite happy with my Ford thanks ! It's what I like and will never look back. Yep I think on that every time I smoke a Vette at the track !

Give me what your smoking. Because what you just stated is a falt out LIE. If there a lot of 4 door coupes and by the way how the hell can you have a 4 door coupe. You do know what coupe stands for and how its meant to be use. Yeah coupes only apply to 2 doors cars buddy. But anyway start naming these cars that get 540hp and that are under 50k? I'll wait for this one because I know that ain't happening.
