Oil Change Tools

Hello all. I only put 4000 miles on my 2SS for its 1st season. I have yet to look at my car on oil change areas. Before I give my 1st oil change on my Camaro for storage, is there any special tools I may need to properly disconnect parts for the self service?

Thanks for the help!

Ramps to drive your car on or Lift
Oil catch device
Rags
Rubber gloves to keep your hands clean
15mm socket (I use a gear wrench)

3/8" ratchet
Extension
I use this type of oil filter removal (use with the extension and ratchet)

If you want to make a 70 mile drive south I'd be happy to show you, best part is I have a lift.

Thanks!! Nice floor by the way. I just did my garage flooring with the Rustoleum epoxy this summer. I went with the gray with black and white speckles.

What city are you in? We visit family all the time down south around the Rochester/Sterling Heights area.

What type of lift do you have? I'm wanting to install one when we build another home with a pole barn.

I did and I used two packs of the anti slip crystals. Came out great! It really sucked having my Camaro sit outside for 4 days though!

Make sure to use a 6-point socket. Twelve point sockets are for the birds.

Don't use an oil filter wrench to put the filter back on! It only needs to be hand tight, and typically, you shouldn't need to use a wrench to get it off, either.
