Yep, the 6L80, rear end (stock SS manual with 3.45's), and stock axles are all holding up fine.

It's been a very busy summer, but now I'm getting ready for October.

I plan on running the LSX Shootout in Indy on Oct. 10-13.

Then it's off to Texas for the Texas Mile!!!

My goal is 190mph.

I just sold the Roadtrek. Mixed feelings about it.

So I've got to get a new trailer, and figure out where I'm going to sleep in Indy and Beeville.

I have a 2005 GMC 2500HD for towing. I'll probably get an enclosed trailer (24' or 28') and maybe making temporary living quarters in it. That, or I'll pick up a truck camper for the GMC.

What do ya'll think?

Should be a GREAT October!

Hey Pete! Check the first page for a summary. It includes most, but not the changes from April when we added the electronic boost controller and made 720.

Question for you: what kind of suspension mods for the Texas Mile? I'm lowered, with rear sway and trailing arms, but no front sway (helps my 60's). I'm guessing I need to put the front sway back on.

I'll be in Indy in a week, hope to see you there.

Updates from Indy:

Won the LSX True Street 11.00 Index.

Dialed it in with a 3-run average of 11.0153. That Electronic Boost Controller works wonders. Just dial in a number and go.

Been having lots of fun. Best run so far is a 10.503 @ 133.42, 1.652 sixty.

I've qualified 6th in the 5th Generation Camaro Shootout with a 10.562 on a 10.50 Index. Eliminations are this afternoon, looks like I might be running against a Copo.

Well, since I couldn't make it to the Texas Mile, I still went racing, even though the SS is in the shop. Atlanta Dragway hosted a charity event for the Humane Society and a no-kill shelter, and naturally I couldn't resist.

It's all about the puppies.

So I raced my 2013 ChevyVolt.

And I think I set a record. Motor Trend's time is 16.9 sec @ 84.3 mph.

I ran 16.697 @ 83.72! 2.703 sixty! Full weight! Unmodified!

Yes, my Volt is the only car I've ever owned that I have not modified!

Naturally, I have video. Since the Volt is by nature a tamer beast than the SS, I changed the music.
