My gut feeling is that it isn't a software glitch, but probably some intermittent connection somewhere that may be affected by environmental conditions. Usually software bugs/glitches happen everytime the code is run...but I could be wrong. It "feels" like a hardware issue, IMO

O some of the issues I have are that it will run slow like when I switch to a new song it takes a little while then the song will play yet on radio screen it says the previous song. Sometimes on my HUD when I change a song it with say "HDM and then the rest of the songs name). Sometimes randomly it will stop playing and say the device can't be found. And sometimes when going to search then song title I when I scroll the image to fast scroll by letter never pops up so I have to scroll and scroll and scroll lol.

YES! I've had that happen on the HUD too. I'll be like: "When did Lily Allen cover Highway to Hell???"

It's easier to spot people who are texting because they'll most likely be going way slower than traffic and swerving and stuff.
Here is what the law in Tennessee says.

Except for novice drivers, there is no prohibition on cell phone use while driving in Tennessee. However, all Tennessee drivers are prohibited from texting.

Cell Phone Use
There is no handheld cell phone prohibition for drivers except that novice drivers in Tennessee - drivers with a learner's permit or intermediate license – are prohibited from using cell phones (handheld or hands-free) while driving.

Texting
All drivers are prohibited from texting while driving. The ban on texting exempts certain officials - such as officers of the state, campus police officers and emergency medical technicians - when performing their duties.

Bus Drivers
Tennessee law prohibits school bus drivers from using cell phones while the bus is in motion and transporting children. As with all drivers, bus drivers are prohibited from texting while driving.

Enforcement
Violation of the texting law is punishable by a fine of up to $50 plus court costs not to exceed $10. Novice drivers who violate the law may be fined up to $100. Violators will also be ineligible to apply for an intermediate or unrestricted driver's license for an extra 90 days after they otherwise would have been eligible. Tennessee’s cellphone and texting laws are considered “primary” laws. A primary law means that an officer can pull you over for the offense without having to witness some other violation. That is, the officer sees you texting and issues a citation.

Yea never tried really. But I use Spotify so the BT is not really an option for me. I used to do that but gave up on it because every time I got some new songs I had to go and get the flash drive and them remember to take it with me. I know I know I'm lazy

It's a secondary offense in Florida though.

And I wonder if state employees here are exempt.

In my actual music library I have a mix of the two. Ripped Cds from when I was younger but now everything I get is downloaded or through spotify.

For now, perhaps. If Florida is anything like MD (likely not ), then the secondary offenses may be changed to primaries over time. The cell-phone law here just switched over this year, but was first passed as a secondary offense two years ago.

Either that or if a State employee has to use a State vehicle AND is required to be accessible by phone, then maybe the State ought to provide hands-free capability for that purpose. Though with budgets as they are...maybe not.

I don't see how they could determine what you were doing on your phone, which is why I think text messaging laws are impractical.

You have to make it all or nothing hand held device use. I think your license should be automatically suspended on a first violation. Zero tolerance as far as I'm concerned.
