That catch can looks really good, as if it belongs there. How long was the installation, and could a total novice do it?

It took me about 30 minutes in a parking lot at a local cars and coffee gathering. I think the install instructions have a list of all the tools needed and are pretty detailed (pictures were taken while I was installing it in the parking lot). The hardest part is getting the hoses attached to the car because of the tight space.

Yes a novice can install it. It requires you to determine where your two ports are to be located on the can and plug the two open ports. Then attach the fittings and tighten and just attach the hoses. I should have let the engine compartment cool down completely. It was a fun install.

+1 on needing to let the engine cool down first - I have a couple bad burns on the side of my hand from trying to remove the OEM plastic hose.

Absolutely. It gets a little toasty back behind that throttle body.

I agree the braided lines are the way to go on this. I know that's what I'll want when the V6 bracketry is ready. Which will be really soon right? Just teasin'. Kinda.

Somewhat hoping it's more of a universal bracket one can use to mount pretty much whereever, somewhat like what I have now. Mine is presently mounted to the engine itself, front left side on an existing mounting spot shared with something else (can't recall what).

Stig,

Ah,ha! That's what got me also. It happened removing those clips

Chase,

Toasty is being way too kind. It felt as it was the equivalent of reaching in and pulling a pizza out of the oven with no hand protection.

We will be doing some work on the V6 stuff tomorrow. Hopefully we will have them ready soon.
