I finished installing the nice, shiny CAI box with transparent lid and wired the LEDs to the circuit with the LED strip above the cowl area.
Then I pulled hood insulation and begin the process of installing the Bowtie plate that I got from EmblemPros. Since it's gonna be backlit with LED strips, it's gonna take me a little while as I figger out the strip connectors and make the sharp corners, then find some longer bolts and standoffs to move the plate away from the polished plate that'll serve as a reflector. |

Put it away for winter . I know it's early, but I don't want to wait to find a place for it. I almost have 1,900 miles on it.

last night on my way home from the city, I came across a matte black CTS-V who was having some freeway fun, speeding and zipping in and out of lanes. I thought HMM I should catch up to this guy and tell him that speeding on the freeways is dangerous and illegal... then he kept going even when I caught up to him, so I thought GOSH! How rude! So I sped up and overtook him in the hopes he would learn his lesson about reckless speeding and that it isn't about fun and racing shouldn't be on freeways........ But then I saw that as I passed to deliver him this lesson, I saw just how upset Justin Beiber was that I had proven my point. I waved/laughed and he got off the freeway in a hurry. LOL

Still working on the underhood Bowtie. Had to get some hardware to add a spacer between the reflector plate and the top plate.
Making the LED strips and corner connectors is being a pita. While out on the parts run, I had a chance to run it thru the gears hard and the seat of the pants feel seemed like I could feel a distinct power increase with the CAI intake compared with the SLP piece. Increase or not, it felt real good. Last edited by RayTheRat; 10-14-2013 at 07:24 PM. |
