I take a couple large towels, soaked in warm soapy water and drape them over the front of the car. Let them sit while I start washing the roof, back and side. Then when I get to the front all the bugs usually wipe off easily with normal wash mitt and car soap. Of course good wax underneath helps. I use Zanio and Z-6 spray works on the worse ones.

Put a dryer sheet in a spray bottle with a cup if water. Spray bugs down then wipe off with another dryer sheet. It's the best way to remove from paint/glass.

I use ONR dituted as a waterless wash. When I return from a drive I inspect my car for any bug guts or bird bombs. I spray the bugs down with waterless wash and let it dwell. I then turn my sprayer on stream and hit them with waterless wash untill they are blasted off my paint. Then I wipe it off with a micro fiber checking after each pass to make sure no bug guts are on the towel. If I find any traces of bug guts I flip the towel to a clean side.

I just use the Bounce liquid diluted 50/50 in spray bottle with water. Let sit about 3-5 minutes in the shade and then wipe off with a fresh towel and some Adam's Waterless Wash spray.

Or diluted APC, from what I hear that's basically what any Bug specific product is.

I use Adams waterless wash. I spray it on the bugs and then proceed to cleaning wheels. By the time I get to washing the rest of the car the waterless wash has softened all the bugs and the hose gets most of them off and then I finish with the wash.
Otherwise the warm wet towel usually does the trick. Thats what I did with my motorcycle of the windshield to avoid rubbing on the acrylic and scratching it. |
