Question on adding PDIM to 2013 1LS

Greetings all;
First post after lots of reading.
If I read correctly the 2013's are missing 2 wires in a connection harness from the radio to the PDIM.
Would that mean that ordering a 2013 radio to PDIM harness and the latest PDIM may get a 2013 LS to the point of being able to use .mp3 files stored on a flash drive.
I came from a 2010 Scion XB that of course had USB and ipod and mp3 capabilities built into the Alpine touch screen upgrade radio.

I dont miss touchscreen but I do miss USB

Thanks Jessica and others at GM for watching our questions in this category... Even though I'm old enough to have raced 69 Camaro's with my AMC Javelin as a kid, , I want all the cool tech the kids want now. I know I could have spent many thousands to get MyLink but when I looked it over it fell short of my desires..

Hi Jessica,

I would also like some more info on upgrading my 2LS stock radio so that I can stream music using my iphone through a USB connection. I incorrectly assumed this came standard on Camaros (even my wife's Hyundai Elantra has a USB connection) since it is 2013 and there is already bluetooth capability! Needless to say, I was very disappointed to learn after hammering out pricing that the feature was not included. I test drove an LT originally and simply overlooked it during my test drive of the 2LS. What do I need to tell my dealership? I have called about it once, but the parts department didn't seem like they knew what to tell me.

I think you need the MyLink system for that DaJags85. I might be wrong though.

Mine does what you are asking. Mine is a 2013 2LT with the My link

Maybe so, Hawk.

Jessica- Is there a part # available to order that would allow a USB hook-up to be installed in my 2LS? Thanks

Hello DaJags85,

I would be happy to speak with your dealership for further information. I'm not sure if they will be able to provide anything more, but I'll see what I can do! I can also check with my internal resources as well. If you could please send me a private message with your full contact information, VIN, vehicle mileage, and name of involved dealership, I can get the process started for you.
