Official 'cheep' drag wheel options (vette c5/c6 wheels)
![]() I'm am starting this thread to breakdown a clear explanation of what corvette wheels will fit on the rear of our 5th gens, with or without spacers. Please be aware this is not a thread about whether spacers are 'safe' or not please keep your personal opinions out of it. No spacer needed: 18x9.5 stock c6z fronts will work, +40mm offset - typically more expensive wheel than the oher options grand sport c6 18x9.5 fronts will also work, +40mm offset - different spacing than the 5th gen studs Spacer needed, minimum size: the C5Z 18x 10.5 (+58mm offset) will work with a 5mm spacer to achieve +53mm which will clear C5Z 18.9.5 (+65mm offset) 12mm? to achieve 53mm? The number you are aiming for is +53mm or less to safely clear the brembo calipers. I hope this proves to be a good reference for someone. As alway check the torque on your lugnuts when you get to the track to make sure they are secure, and recheck and tighten as needed for a little added peace of mind. thank you in advance for your responses!

just wanted to let everyone know that while the grand sport wheels will fit, they are not correct spacing as the camaro studs , they are off by 1mm, you are safe running them, but would re torque as a precaution between runs

I have a pair of 18x9.5" (+40) Corvette ZR1 replicas ready to install (no spacers needed)....just waiting on the funds for the tires!!! The wheels weigh 26 lbs. each. It's pretty bad when you can get (2) wheels cheaper than one tire!!!!!!!!! Last edited by blazzin1; 10-11-2013 at 10:41 PM. |

It is just so hard for me to believe that we couldn't find a Cheeper 17inch options. The price difference for a 17 vs 18, for example on an M.T. E.T. Street is a little over $60 difference. And the ability to use bias ply 'slicks' in a 17 creates another issue.

18x9.5 ZR1 wheels front and back, 305/45R18 NT05R's on back, 265/ R18 Nitto's up front. Some mods necessary to fit front wheels.

Little bit of back from the dead action lol
for you guys actually running these, are you running hub centric rings or just bolting them up and going?

My ZR1 replicas do not have hub centric rings and I've never had a problem with them.
