HELP me with my sh*tty 60' times

I have a 45th L99 that just doesnt launch. T76 front turbo, cam, exhaust and 18" MT DRs. 530rwhp. Consistently pulls 2.0-2.1 60' times. Im holding down the brake and giving gas until the tires borderline spin (1500-1600 rpm). Any advice??! Im running high 11s-12.00 1/4 mile.

Try 1000 to 1200 RPM on launch. And tires at 18 PSI.

Sounds like you need more converter.

I am similar in power and with the stock converter I average 1.70 - 1.75 60' on less desirable tires, Nitto 20" 555r's. I drop the tire pressure to 18lb, turn off all nannies, launch from idle, and quickly ease into the throttle to avoid tire spin. I don't smash the throttle on launch. I also really heat the tires on burn out. The Nittos stick better with lots of heat. With the M/T's you should be getting better traction.

I do have a Maggie that gives me instant boost. The turbo has to be spooled up on launch to help the 60'. You may not be getting into your boosted power band fast enough with the turbo to help your 60'?

Post a video of your run that way we can see how you do your burnout. Could be you aren't getting the tires hot enough. Could be your in the water box too far slinging water in your fender wells.
Run 16 lbs of air in them.

What type of turbo? My Magnum 76mm spooled very quickly and I was seeing 1.80 60ft with my stock converter on a Denali truck that was on slicks. What tires are you running?

Ill try launching from an idle or less rpm. I am spinning a bit but I guess I was hoping the MTs would stick. I definitely am planning on a new converter next spring.

What psi are you running in them? And are you doing a good burnout? I found the sweet spot at 18 psi with the MT my 60' in 1.70s and lower.

8 lbs of boost. im running about 18 psi. I do a good burnout. (although I am considering a line lock). Nannies off. Are you guys all launching off idle? I guess im just surprised the mts dont hook with a stock converter. That or I just suck at driving lol

My car launches best off idle. But my car is a bolt on only car. MT with a 3600 Circle D and I cut 1.56 60ft.
I was having spinning issues last time at the track, but I've just about identified it being all burnout related.
I would cut back to back 1.56's then all of a sudden a 1.75-1.85. And trust me, a 1.85 feels like shit when u have been cutting 1.56.
So I'm learning exactly what my car needs to hit that 1.56 consistently. I can tell after my burnout if I'm gonna hook.
