The wheel well liner is the entire LARGE piece of hard black plastic that lines the entire inner wheel well. It keeps dirt, water, debris, and all the other sorts of crap from flying up into the inner engine compartment area, etc. You'll drill the holes in the front of the wheel well to line up with the holes from the part above that goes to the front of each wheel.

Also, what is the "wheel well liners"? Is that the extension piece below (Part #22895341)?

So just to be clear, even on a V6, I have to cut these two pieces along the dotted line?

Thanks.

Yes, I believe they need to be cut on any model for the lower grille to work

Those are splash shields. Wheel well liners are the giant pieces of black plastic that line the entire wheel well, separating it from the engine bay.

Some holes are different on the ZL1 bumper, so the screws wont go directly back on after you put the new fascia on, you will need to drill holes

Question if you guys don't mind: Since I have an LS, I bought a pair of non-RS fog lamps but haven't bought the retainers yet. I understand now that the non-RS fog lights have a long adjustment arm, so for an easy install, should I buy ZL1 DRL retainers or non-RS retainers?

Thanks!

You can do it that way, but you will need to mod them to hold the long adjustment arm, like in this pic.

Thanks, but would you mind elaborating - what steps were taken to create the modified retainer? It seems a part was cut and something else was glued?

Thanks!

Ok, I think I figured it out, I can just cut the top part of my current DRL retainer, where the adjust arm would sit, and use some plastic weld epoxy to add it to the ZL1 retainer.

That's the harness what plugs into the front bumper for your side markers. You'll need a harness from GEN5DIY for the new fog lights.

I make the part to hold the long post out of extra plastic i have from all the work we do, and then dremall out the DRL retainer so it can be added.

you have 2 loos wires one red with a eye let that goes the the 12 V+ in the fuse box, its the bolt at the front of the box ones you open it, then run the long wire in the car, when you power that wire to 12 v+ the lights come on.
