There is nothing "exotic" about the Camaro, not even the ZL1. Lamborghinis, Bugattis, etc are supercars. If you paid less than $150k, you aren't driving a supercar.

To further add to this discussion, if any of you had ever ridden in or driven a "Supercar" we would not be having this debate over the obvious fact that technically the ZL1 is not in the same category. As an experiment park our ZL1 next to any of the above mentioned cars and see which one gathers more attention?

Can the ZL1 be ordered with these types of Carbon Fiber wheels and Carbon disc brakes? Just backing up the above post of the interior pictures from Denis.

The Porsche has it all...name prestige, performance, luxury etc. The ZL1 has performance, but that's about it.

Define luxury. I personally think that the way the electronics work in unison in the Camaro is pure luxury and high tech goodness overall. It has one of the best heads up displays on the Market. Maybe BMW is the only manufacturer that compares in that area.

The way the Nav unit talks to the HUD and the lap timers, the precision and dynamic ability of the magnetic ride control interface are next generation stuff that is not found in some of the $400k cars you are mentioning. Everyone can't have a Lamborghini. And because of the cost of the ZL1 in comparison to a Malibu it has a good level of exclusivity in its own right.

There is no limit to how much something can cost if someone is willing to pay. I'm willing to bet the new ZR1 will run circles around a Lamborghini Aventador and be right there with it in a straight line for 300k less and it is every bit a supercar.

It is a great performing and rather affordable care...sure as heck. Supercar...not quite.

And at the end of the day, it's still a Chevrolet and it's still a Camaro. Neither nameplate is usually associated with supercars.

Good point. As I said earlier, you can build just about anything to be fast. That doesn't make it a supercar.
