Dave, you said there was an Whipple expert here in the knoxville area. I spoke with Whipple today and they did not have an authorized install shop in the area and said the only way they would sell the extended warranty with the car is if the install was done by a tier 5 installer, a authorized installer or a Chevy dealer. The Whipple and Maguson are the same price I just have to check on the tune. Maguson if all the car has is a CAI they have a tune disc.

I am in the middle of archery season right now or I would definitely join you guys on any ride on the Tail of the Dragon or Cherohala Skyway. Season will basically end for me around the 17th of November since the gun hunters will start doing their thing and I am only a bowhunter. I don't remember saying there was a whipple installer here locally, I have done all the work tomy car with my dad. I think either one would fit your goals just pick the one you like and go for it.

Hey folks! I just bought my Camaro last week and my face hurts from the perma-grin! I hope to be able to make it to a meet in the future.

One quick question that hopefully you local folks can put to bed for me; tires. Do you guys run the summer tires year round in east TN or do you have a set of winter or all-season that you swap out?

Great to have you in the group. You've got one of the first '14 models that we know of. Our next planned cruise is Nov 9th, so hope to see you there (Muscle Car Ministries). The Breeze posted info about it last week.

As for the tires, most everyone I've seen in the group runs the same tires year-round. However, most of us don't drive our Camaros in the winter when there has been salt put down or in bad weather.

Welcome....look forward to meeting you at a gathering. Generally it doesn't stay cold enough, long enough to warrant winter tires around here. If we are to have a long cold period and my car sat outside I might have a little concern about the summer tires.
