I think he is talking about this, but I don't see it standing a chance against the ZL1 either in the straights or a road course. The Range Rover Sport would be my choice over this any day.

Oh Boy! Did I miss anything? I took my American Supercar (ZL1) out for some "fine dining" although deciding where, we have so many fine dining establishments, ya know KFC, Burger King, Taco Bell, but I went with every mans fav, the ginger girl Wendy. Plus I had a coupon! Now please, don't tell me somebody's going to try and argue that these aren't Supercar worthy "fine dining" establishments! Please...... That would be equal to saying the ZL1 isn't a Supercar...... Show some respect. This is an all American car after all. Oh wait a minute, wasn't Louie a frenchie who couldn't even speak English? Well, you know what I mean......

Not the general description of a "Supercar" per se, but performs and looks the part IMHO. A Super Bad A$$ car to say the least and I would be proud to own one, and envy those of you who do.

And the ZL1 beat the Porsche 911 Carrera S at VIR!

Just look at the company the ZL1 and the Z/28 are keeping.

I am not sure what your point is? The 55th place as you put it is the fastest production cars of all time on the ring. It was only 2 seconds behind a $375,000 LFA at VIR. What is the ring time for a stock SRT- 4? I don't think anyone is really saying it is a supercar in the hard definition of a supercar but that it performs at that level. Just look at that list, how many American manufactured cars are on that list, other than the Vette and the Viper it is only the ZL1 and Z/28. The other question why are you bashing the ZL1? Also the numbers for the SRT - 4, was the car stock? Because this is for stock production vehicles, anybody can mod a car if you have enough money. So, why are you here?

Also would like to see this specific modded SRT-4 make it more than one lap. Then let us see it run for 4 hours flat out. Then 24 hours like GM does. I would be impressed if a modded SRT-4 street car could make one complete lap at the ring at ZL1 times without breaking down let alone repeating it over and over with only replacing the tires, brake pads and fuel. That is not even talking about handling issues with torque steer and horrible push that a high HP front wheel drive car has.

Most people forget GM built both the ZL1 and Z28 to not just run hard but to survive the experience.

No it is not, because my insurance doesn't reflect a Supercars price.

And the ZL1 doesn't come with a Tommy Hilfinger sweater.

Can the ZL1 be ordered with these types of Carbon Fiber wheels and Carbon disc brakes? Just backing up the above post of the interior pictures from Denis.
exactly! no one is saying that the ZL1 doesnt deliver Supercar-esque performance and will more than likely piss off a lot of people that paid 3 times the money for a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pagani or Porsche. but its just not in the same league in regards to every other aspect.

check it -

Pagani Zonda -

Lamborghini Aventador -

Ferrari 599 GTO -

and thats just interiors alone. wheels, aerodynamics, suspension...the list goes on and on.

If speed was the only factor in what makes a production car a Supercar the Ariel Atom would be a Supercar, but it ain't, it's more like a go kart on Steriods!
