Will installing a double din stop the steering controls and HU display?

I am thinking about getting a double din with the scoshe kit (any reviews on the scosche?) - but I want to know if it possible to connect my steering wheel controls, and will the heads up display still show the names of the songs and names/numbers of incoming calls on the bluetooth? Also, can I still use the USB cord in the center console to play music thru a double din?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

I don't have an aftermarket system in my car but from what I've read I believe you can keep you steering wheel controls but you lose the connectivity of the USB port in the console. You can use it just to charge at that point I believe.

Also apparently a lot of people have been having issues with the scoche kits. Search for them I guarantee you'll find a bunch. I don't know if the metra kit is any better. And I do remember reading that people were looking for the most recent version of the kit, I think they worked out some bugs.

Yes the steering wheel controls will still work depending on the radio. With some radio the controls will not work. No the heads up display will not show the name of the song. No it will not show the name and number of the caller unless it come threw the onstar system. You can get a 6ft usb to a micro usb from Monoprice to connect your to the usb port in the console.
Hope this helps.
Just like 45thcamaro stated some people are have trouble with theirs Scoshe kit. It took me 4 months to get my working and the 7 months later had to a new LCD unit replaced.
