Got a question.... A friend just got a 2011-12 CTSV Coupe. They are suppose to have around 550hp. Will adding cold air and different pulley on the SC bump him up to 630hp like he is claiming? I don't see an 80hp jump just from those to parts.

A pulley will make a difference but I don't see an 80hp difference.

At the crank you could get close, the CAI will add some boost as will the pulley down I dont know about 80 hp but it would be pretty substantial.

I could see adding 50hp but not 80hp.

I guess I need to hurry and get some 18" rims and some DR's after my cam and gears install so I can go out and spank his ass!!!!!

I just added a boost chart, kinda give you an idea of what the pulley swaps can do.

I think 80 is doable actually, I just looked at some pulley swaps.....3-4lbs of boost just from pulley plus a lb or 2 from the CAI, being conservative lets call it 15hp per/lb thats still 75hp...if you go by industry standard its closer to 20hp/lb.. So maybe it is doable.
