![]() it was dynoed with a muffler delete, but i just put on a magnaflow tru-x-pipe, and i think that made the most differance. maybe the extra mufflers on the L-99 is bringing the #s down, maybe they dynoed these motors with different exhaust to get the advertised #s. track #s would be what i would go with.jmo |

So, here's my before/after results... freaking ADM Performance rocks! Wow!
I also had the Magnaflow axle back exhaust installed (I see an X pipe in the future, Andy). The results below are pre-Magna, but the exhaust only added about 3hp to the mix. All and all, I gained about 30hp and 51 points to the torgue. The real results came from the tune... which is to say, it's obvious the performance is in the L99, it's just not being drawn out like it should be.I am also looking forward to getting some "after" results to go with my "before" results in Dynolicious. It's proven to be pretty darn consistent and barely off of the real Dyno results, so it'll be nice to see how the "after" results look. Still need to get to a timed 1/4 mile track too. IRPQ - couldn't help but notice the status change... lacking the "non", eh?

There's still something weird about the new curves, though - the shape of the stock curves is about how you'd expect, (though peaky for such a low-revving V8) but the 'after' curve is totally different. In fact, it looks kinda like the results you'd expect from a mild (and possibly ill-planned) cam swap: the torque peaks earlier but runs out of steam thereafter, and now the power's dipping, too, after 4500. Let it be known that this is bald conjecture and I've never learned to read a dyno chart the way a tuner can, but for power and torque to not increase in a linear fashion over the whole power band seems like it can't be good... especially as the car's going to be shifting around six grand and looking for slip... ah, ignore me, I don't know enough to express what I'm trying to here. But maybe someone with a lot more experience at the dynamometer can help me out here? Next question is what did they tweak, and how much did it cost? I'm not placing any bets on my car at any race tracks though. And I don't feel the need to prove anything to anyone, or myself. This is EXACTLY what GM wants to hear. You'll never even know if you got what you paid for. And for those who say that we can't expect to get the times that the 'Professional' drivers got. Fine. They got 4.7 seconds. So I don't think it's out of the question to expect a consistant 5.5 from an AUTOMATIC TRANNY. And you'de expect that we would not get 7+ seconds, at all. I did a few times. After practicing and practicing with some of the advice on here as far as 'fluffing' the pedal and easing and stabbing and reving and everything else. You'de think that after over 100 times I would at least get 'lucky?' with an AUTO tranny. It doesn't take Mario frekin Andretti to push the pedal and go in a straight line. There is a problem. After my dealer gets done and tells me there is nothing wrong with it, I'm gonna get it Tuned and Mod the **** out of it and love the heck out of it And if it breaks I'm just F***ed. I think this is what they want. It'll sure help tham save money. But my next car will be something I can test drive the crap out of first. I'm allready tired of explaining to people how my car is slow. Every time someone asks about how fast it must be it sucks. I've had my father-in-law, my bro-in-law, my Trooper freind, and another freind, and 2 clients drive it. One of my freinds and a client said it kicked ass. ALL the rest said there is definately something wrong with it. They should ALL say it kicks ass. None of these people drive vipers and Vettes. The next time someone tells me there is nothing wrong with it and that I just can't drive right, or it's the heat and humidity or tires or whatever I'm gonna freakin' explode. I GET IT, there are factors. But not 2 1/2 second difference factors. And when the car runs a 6.1 then a 7.5 then a 5.8 THERE IS A PROBLEM. We're doing what we can to fix it and keep our warranties. Why don't you guys just tell us to STFU and take our screwin' like some good little yes men. __________________ ....."The car is a boys first step toward manhood and a mans last hold on boyhood" - Myself |

TM DELETE? You must have meant reduction..that is what we do. There is a device on the L99 engine called a cam phaser,by controlling what the cam phaser is doing you can change the curve completely.LS3 DO NOT HAVE THIS UNFORTUNANTLY(Good and bad). Also you will see that the factory tune has very little timing(why it is so jagged) as well as showing knock(huge dips) through out the run. Any way,it is what it is,the customer loves it and I am pretty sure he will frequent the track a little more often now that his car is correct. Hope this helped out! Andy |

Looks good. I'm running an ADM tune & CAI on my TBSS and have always been happy with the results and customer service.
I think they earlier guesses of TM taking close to 100ftlbs on the L99's may not be that far off. The majority of TM is in 1st gear, less in 2nd, less in 3rd, less in 4th, and also kicks in on the shifts. The dyno for this one was 4th gear and showed 51ftlbs and Andy doesn't kill all the TM if I remember correctly. Although the TM can vary depending on the environmental factors also. Andy would probably have better input on the tunes on the L99 cars. I'm still trying to decide between the A6 or M6. I'd like to see the issues resolved on the A6's and some better times from tuned A6 cars. I'd like a 12 sec street car (after dumping TM) when I get mine. |

There is nothing wrong. It is you just cant drive, or it may be the heat. It could possibly be the humidity and likely be the tires. ![]() Now can I get video of that explosion? ![]() ![]() Smile bro I am just joking.
