What a ripoff. You can buy a 4 quart jug at Autozone, Advance or Walmart for just over $20

I had my oil changed on Friday @ 3335 kms or 2001 miles and you are right, it feels like a different car. I slid the corner making a left at a light which I have never done before and then left 2 black stripes down the road in front of my house by accident.
Is there computer parameters that open up after the first oil change or something?

I don't see how the computer would know when the oil was changed unless you reset a Change Oil light or there was some sort of oil sensor that measured how clean the oil was.

After 3200 long miles i took my car in for its first oil change and noticed a huge difference, the car seemed lighter on its feet and more peppy. I dont think it was a jedi mind trick but i can attest to the improvement. too early to tell about fuel mileage so well see on that soon.

I am running it to 3K then changing the oil. The break in oil is drained be fore they ever drop the motor in your car.

thats part of the Oil Life Monitor System in the car. the computer does know (to an extent) when the oil was changed based off of various inputs it receives from the engine/oil system. oil temp, flow rate, press, etc all gets factored in along with the driving habits to tell when the oil needs to be changed.

My first oil change there is free Then after that, we will be doing our own changes, just like we do w/ our other cars....

Just changed mine today at 1400 miles. The last 100 miles or so it started to feel kind of rough so I thought it was the right time. Went with Mobil 1. I could tell a difference right away. Also no doubt about what I have read in regard to the break-in period. It feels like as of late I have had a huge increase in the power and the get up a go feeling. Feeling this much power in the V6 304HP.....I cannot wait to get the 2SS RS and get it broken in. Man both of these engines are soooo awesome!

I am used to going to the local oil change place and getting my Yukon changed for $40...lol The 2LT RS V6 cost me $80+ today at the dealer! Guess the 2SS will be $100+...ugh

My dealer is a Lithia dealership and they offer Lifetime synthetic oil change package and include it price of car. Can change oil anytime I feel like it needs it. Really good deal. I believe it was between seven to eight hundred dollars.

Getting mine changed due to a leaky oil pan gasket that is getting replaced already. Only has 1350 miles on it. I will post how much, if any difference is noticed once i get it back.

I just changed my oil today, and the car does seem to have come alive. I have 771 miles now, and the last two hundred or so have been somewhat rough... That's all been cleared up!

The only thing I do have to comment on is how dirty the oil was I drained... Black as any oil I've ever seen. I'm going to change the oil again I think once I hit 3,000- with a filter replacement around 1500 miles.

Am I going overboard? Probably.

Had my oil changed this week(LS3, 6 speed) I had 780KM on it. Installed GMPP track pack exhaust on it while it was in for service. Car seems to have a fair bit more go in her now. The sound is a big improvement on the car, not too loud, just a really nice deep sound to it. I freaking love this car!
