Blown on E85?

I'm running about 570 whp with my whipple and I'm looking to bump up the power by running E85 and dropping down one pulley size or possibly two. I'm aware of what's involved by changing to bigger injectors and fuel pump with a good tune. What type of power gain would you think I'd get? What fuel pump would be best for running E85? And what size injectors?

I have the Livernois and ID850's at 9 psi on corn, just makes it at 84% injector duty cycle at 6400 rpm in third and fuel pressure starts to drop. I'd go Squash & ID1000's. I'm in the neighborhood of 620 whp best guess from HPTuner scanner logs & virtual dyno. 3.7x sec 60-100 mph in 3rd.

Lots of loot for 40-50 hp. lol. Remember E85 needs ~30% more fuel.

going e85 isnt just for HP gains, it burns cooler and is detonation resistant.

ID1000's here, didn't change pully stayed with the current setup at 10.50 psi 680rwhp on 91 pump to 730rwph for the E85 and timing increase, Maggie Max 2 JRE tuned.

be sure to upgrade your lines to PTFE if you plan to use for any period of time. You also cant let the e85 set for any period of time in your tank/fuel system.

Id also look at going with the ID1300's as they are made exclusively for the likes of e85. E85 is tough on your components if you arent built for it and you dont want to lose fuel..Also look at a squash pump with the e85 upgrade

From the limited research I found on other forums, the combustion temps are a bit cooler by around 50*f. Granted every little bit helps but if you have hard numbers to quote, I'd appreciate it.

Need to put on an EGT and do my own testing I guess. More HP is going to raise comb temps me thinks. The increase in HP is due to more fueling & slower burn allowing for more advanced timing. Power = Heat.

Been running it in my zx14 for 6 years, made 10hp more than pump gas with no timing, bike loss hp when adding timing so the fuel it's self does make more power without timing, it was about a 50/50 split between fuel gained hp and timing gained hp on the car, E85 has about 33% oxygen in it, thats where the hp comes from before adding timing.

OD rear (no cog), 3.6 pulley. Kenny Bell BAP, ADM controller, Twin ZL1 pumps with one on a hobbs switch.

Myths, been running and leaving the stuff in tanks over the winter for years, just about all modern cars have what it takes to hold up to E85 and it's no more corrosive than pump gas, it can attract water which will rust out a steel gas tank, but pump gas has some water in it also and we have plastic tanks to handle Ethanol.

GM setup the Camaro and other vehicles for flex fuel, the tables just need to be unlocked in the ecu and a flex fuel reader installed inline to read the ethanol content, the fuel tank, pump and lines are compatible as well, no luck involved, just knowledge.
