I thought about making the title of this thread "Slow Ride." I can hear Foghat jammin' as I type this.

Anyway... The train that has my car on it left Oshawa on the 20th and it's only made it as far as London, ON. That's about 150 miles is all. Come on train! Let's hammer down and get this car to it's owner!!! Change this "Slow Ride" tune to "Train, Train" by Blackfoot!!!

The first ride out of Canada is slow, after that mine has made it about 400+ miles a day.

Mine left Oshawa on monday 7/20 also. Telephone still has "no update available at this time." Can someone tell me the timeframe for a railcar to get to Miami or South Florida? The dealer has no clue and is expecting 4 Camaro's to arrive at the same time. Thank you in advance if anyone can answer my question.

Mine left out on Monday I believe and is already down in Louisiana as of 3AM. Now all I'm waiting for is to get the call from the dealer saying that the truck is unloading it now.

Wow you ordered same camaro as I did! I'm hoping it gets down to SA soon as well!

Mine took just over 2 weeks to go 500 miles. For the $795 delivery fee I could have flown to Toronto, stayed overnite in a hotel, and drove back with the car the next day. I know it's frustrating to watch the slow pace.

Here is my rail car number ETTX851384. Left Oshawa 7/20.

I called the CSX automated tracking line this morning and found that the train left Illinois yesterday at 10:05am.

450 miles to go! This train is CRAWLING along. It seems that the train doesn't move at night. Maybe now that it's in the USA, the train will pick up some speed! Oakwood, MI at noon today. Wentzville, MO is where it will be off-loaded for transport to the dealer.

We are in the same boat, or train I guess.

I am on ETTX711738 waiting to arrive in Wentzville. From there, down to Arnold, MO at Boemler. This has been a long wait, but worth it I guess in the long run.

I browsed the CSX rail lines and it doesn't seem to cross-country to California.

So my question is, at what location does the cars destined for the West Coast transfer to another carrier and what carrier is that and how do you track it then? Sounds like a dumb question but have to ask...

I believe Union Pacific is the rail carrier for the western states. Tracking info here http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22850

Isn't that interesting... I mean, when I think of that train, I realize there are dozens of other Camaros on it but in my mind I picture only mine. I'm glad you posted. It makes all this distance seem a bit smaller.

I hope this time next Friday we are both behind the wheel driving our new cars!
