They've been hit or miss on the few cars I have done in our local Camaro Club. A few I had to take a jack lift about 1/4 inch or so.. Others slid right in like they were covered in Astroglide.

Any of you guys have access to an L99 piston that we can get some measurements from?

Im about to upgrade from my current cam to a bigger cam. Do you have to remove the oil pump in order to change just the cam?

I was considering doing it myself if the steps aren't as time consuming as the conversion itself. Thanks Litle

Should be a breeze. Either you use 16 magnets to hold up the lifters or 2 rods down the galleys to hold up the lifters. NEVER trust the lifter trays.

Thanks for the link Chris. Oh and I sent Nick a message. We'll see if they have anything hanging around the shop. I still have a couple groups on FB to try my luck with.

I wasn't going to waste my time trying to "Snake" the front sway bar out of the front of my car. Took 30 seconds to grab a trans/engine jack, 30 seconds to grab the 18mm socket and impact, 30 seconds to remove the engine mount nuts, 30 seconds to jack up the engine, front sway bar literally fell out of the car. If you have the right tools, jacking the motor up isn't that big of a deal, or an "extra step".
