I wonder where the common places these vehicles are stolen at?

i wish these camaros had the old school type alarms, motion sensor alarms on them. i was surprised they really dont. i guess with onstar maybe not necessary, i dont know. i make sure my car is going anywhere that i am unsure of or if i have to worry about it being stolen. guess thats why we have insurance.

wise car thieves know that there is no comparison between Camaro and Mustang when it comes to crash tests. Might as well make a dangerous job a little safer

ye wander what the percentage is vs cars sold. betting Challenger is higher. I have a viper alarm also, while they might try to steal it; it ain't gonna be easy. better luck if they flat bedded it! even then that one sensor near the front wheel is touchy, set that damn thing of when I am detailing every once in a while. Scares the sh*t out of me...LOL!

I've always heard most cars are stolen from the driveways of their own homes, between mid-night and five a.m.....

I think it said Cali was #1 followed by FL blah blah blah…..

1.My question is, what general security measures does GM instal besides OnStar?

2. If i don't pay for OnStar and something were to happen, would OnStar still be obligated to help anyway?

3. What is the best aftermarket security system out there today?

What I get from the article, is that these are "new" cars that some are even sent overseas...

Against a professional thief, or car-theft ring, probably nothing you can do to keep your car from being stolen. They know all the tricks for all the anti-theft devices.

Not worried, I'll take my chances.

Not even worried about this.
I have learned that if the right thief really wants your car/wheels enough, all it takes is the right time and it will be theirs.
It does not matter the type of car, or the alarm system the car has, although a better system will make it harder.

My worst fear, and I have a garage, and it's always within sight for the most part. I even had a dream a few weeks ago, that it got jacked..

I ask just out of general curiosity really. I don't have an SS or ZL1, still love my car, but I don't see mine too high on the list as it is

I'd rather it be stolen in the night before being car jacked for it. Me being originally from South Central LA, that was one of my biggest fears next to gang violence. So glad live in Texas now.

And Onstar can be turned on at the police department's request to locate your car I'm sure. Cadillac used to use it to repossess cars when the payment was late. I'm pretty sure all who had their cars repossessed were not Onstar subscribers.
