Try just running it for awhile, you can always mod later, and make sure you don't need any warranty work first.
Take it to the track like it was made to be and have fun for awhile

I agree with this. There is no need to mod a stock car that you are totally new to without actually driving it stock first. Enjoy the car for a few weeks first and then start the upgrades. I personally like to do mods one at a time to feel the difference in each one. That way it takes less time to get bored. Each new mod will keep you happy for a while. But for the first mod, I'd say either a cold air intake or a canned tune. You're gonna need the handheld tuner down the road eventually anyway.
