Convertible non BA subwoofer question - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hi All,

I've been through all of the posts regarding non BA stereo upgrades and have a question. I have a 2012 1LT convertible. I have a 10" sub and sub thump adapter for it already, (stock is 8" duel voice coil), but to purchase a mono subwoofer amp I need to know are the inputs to the factory amp, (that's mounted to the back of the subwoofer mounting plate), preamp inputs, or are they speaker level coming from the head unit. Thanks Tony

PS. FYI my front door and rear 3 1/2" speakers were labeled 4 ohms, although I've seen 2 ohms listed quite often here.
