I am wanting to get a set of headers for my 2012 zl1 and I have it narrowed down to american racing and lg motor sports. Can I get some feed back to help with my decision?

I am going to get the PFADT headers they look awesome, make good power, fit the belly pan. ot a huge deal to cut but it takes time to cut and fit.
between those to I think I would get amaerican racing. my basis is they manufacture there own and I am pretty sure LG contracts theirs out. don't rule out kooks, or dynotech though. to me 1. phadt 2.dynotech 3. ameican racing or kooks kooks are 18ga bit lighter american racing are 14ga. this is the order I would rate them based on my research. the dynotech have a four bolt collector design I liked a bit better.

I love my Kooks 1 7/8ths...sound and HP are awesome. I know that was not one of your options, but I would recommend them for sure!

When I get headers for my ZL1, they will certainly be American Racing Headers. They are expensive but in everything else, one has to pay for quality. Not saying the others mentioned are inferior, I just like Am. Racing.

I've not heard the LG Motor Sports brand, A friend of mine has the American Racing and it sounds good on his Z, I'm between the PFADT and Kooks myself with the American Racing next in line.

I'd suggest going with Pfadt or KOOKS. Nothing wrong with ARH or LG, but KOOKS and Pfadt are a better bang for the buck IMO.
Feel free to call, PM or email me with questions or for the best pricing. Best regards, Tyler 888-308-6007 |

LG motorsports is a full on racing team thats also now in the business of making parts, and also has borla make some of its products.Unlike a lot of the shops on the forum that either just mainly sell parts or 95% of the time work on street cars only which serves those on the forum..Heres a picture of one of their older race cars, and the owner(winner) who's been a real racer all of his life..anything that comes out of LG is going to be good.... Another good header is stainlessworks..One of their options is also a lower price header which saves those wanting it some money..while its made with the same stainless steal stock it doesnt have as long of a warranty as their higher price headers and only cost about $700 bucks, the power is about the same as all the other brands..now the new pfadt headers are also a bit less expensive than most ,but they seem to make the most power from all the new dyno charts, and the highest low end by far...

PFADT w/hi flow cats gave me 43 rwhp (after a tune of course) and they sound badass and no trimming of the belly pan.

We have seen great results with the Pfadt tri-y headers. This what we exclusively on our camaro packages now.
