Looking at the video that "LSXer" posted, it appears that the unit does not fit correctly. If you look close you can see light shining through where the unit meets the dash. I'm hoping that I'm just seeing things but it just does not seem to fit right. Hopefully, someone that has installed one of these units will clarify this issue for us. Keeping my fingers crossed as I like the concept.

Peace,

Mj

for those of you that have a my link in your car or have played with it, price aside do you think it would be a better buy for this unit or the factory unit. If this unit preforms as described does it have more potential then the my link?

It has more potential because its bases on the Android platform, which is essentially open-source.

okay thanks. one more question, how fast does the my link process the touch commands because from the video of this unit it doesn't seem all that fast at all.

MyLink is pretty much instantaneous.

If you scroll back a page or so you'll see someone bought and installed one.

im still on the verge of deciding which one i would want price aside. I'm thinking the mylink is very fast and has a nice display and features but it is limited. The other unit isn't limited in features but it might have filament issues as well as being slow. Which one would you guys chose and why?

It looks to be a Metra faceplate with an Android based head unit.
