Hello From China

Hey internet. I'm new to the Camaro 5 forum. I've actually never participated in forums or online social stuff in the past . The only other site I belong to is jalopnik (I got the comment of the day once!). I grew up in Michigan where I started loving cars but moved to Asia when I was a teen in the late 90's. I've been in Beijing since 2000. There are a good number of Camaros here in Beijing, but I suspect I'm the only real american redneck driving around in one here. As far as I can tell I'm also the only member here who is in China. if there are any more of you out there, please join me!

Thanks. I came over with my family, eventually went to college In Beijing, got a job teaching kindergarten in an international school and got married to my girlfriend of 8 years... Looks like I'm stuck here! By the way. I'm new to this... I haven't figured out how to post pics of my car in the comments. Hopefully soon I'll figure out how to use the site!

there are a number of whys to do it, one way is to follow the process in the thread linked below. some good instructions are in post #10

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64469

OR get yourself a Photobucket account (its free) which is very easy to post pic's from as well.

oh and btw......CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Thanks a lot for the help. I really feel welcome here. Unfortunately photobucket is blocked here, so I've never been able to use it. We'll see how it goes!

Thanks. I really do love it here in China. I can forgive the traffic and pollution because there is so much more making up for that.

The camaro really is a dream come true. It's been great!

By the way, can you help me with US spec modifications? I would like the tail lights to be like the cars in the states And would like to know if that is easy to switch over. Do you know about this or should I look for answers in a different part of the forum?

Thanks for the reply and making me feel welcome here!
