This thread is full of fail!! Its a race car for crying out loud... wait till you see the trunk without carpet. or ride inside and realize its too loud because the matting has been removed... Form is never chosen over function in a race car,,, well not by racers anyway.

I was gonna say....you could probably gather up the necessary materials from Home Depot and make this on your own for about $15.00!!!

Yep, that's why there's a back seat too......for all that "functionality" in a RACE CAR!!!!!!!!

The OP said to put it on a ZL1, would it help or would it just be a piece of metal on my spoiler with ugly screws sticking out.

If you want to fly around corners @ 100mph plus... get it, it'll help keep the tail planted.

But the ZL1 aerodynamics are set based on the current config, I would be afraid it would throw them off.

Worst it would do is give it a touch of understeer at higher speeds... anyone that drives the ZL1 at those speeds know if they could use it or not.

I think you do, but most in here don't seem to understand it's a piece designed to do a specific thing, like a tow eye sticking out the front. If you think a tow eye is stupid looking, it is, until you need to get your car off a track without destroying the fascia. Then it's beautiful.

Purpose built piece. The fact that the engineers drove it to a limit that caused them to put it on makes it beautiful part on the Z/28.

I wouldn't put it on my ZL1 but I would sure love to have one on a Z/28 but alas, as mentioned earlier, can't afford it.
