Looking back I was a little aggregated on my post. I had just got the text about me picking the kids up lol. I'll have some more info tomorrow.

Glad you saw some gains from it. I think i'll pulley down to 3.2" instead though. The drone on mine with a full 3" was just too unbearable.

That is what I expected from a bigger exhaust, at your HP level. The gap widens as the rpm's increase. Did you happen to log boost? Wondering if you lost any. I wouldn't expect you to lose much if any but thought i'd ask. Very nice numbers man.

Do you still have your 3in exhaust? If so, a set of J-pipes would take care of that drone for you.

Oh, and Bo, did you ever modify that OBX exhaust to be a full 3 inches? Or does it still have that 2.5 downsize at the connection of the cat-back?

I lost 1/2lb or so from last time. I have the ECS Paxton 1500 kit. The exhaust still necks down to 2.5 at were the cats were.

Ah, you have a centri blower. That's what I'm looking to do after some ported heads and a mild cam. Can't wait. Maybe by next Summer!

Well just remember that's a lot of power going through a 2.5 cat back. A bolt on car will show differently for sure.

When I first bought my car new, I added the SLP Long tubes and a full 3" Exhaust and my car dyno'd right at 30HP more than stock without at tune. So the headers or the exhaust or the combination of the two did something. This was put on an otherwise completely stock setup. Although having the AFM deleted couldn't happen soon enough. The noises coming from exhaust caused by the AFM engaging was barely tolerable. Farting, burping, coughing, droning. Terrible. After we did the LS3 conversion, it turned into music.

Nah...under 600 horse I'd bet there is no difference with diameter...don't read more into this discussion than it is. It has got side tracked a bit to cars around 600. Bo and I fall into that category. SixG...u do too on the bottle.

I'm not gonna get into any debate over this. But I will express that I disagree. I feel that a 3 inch exhaust even on a NA vehicle will have some gains over the stock 2.5 inch. Maybe not soo much over an aftermarket 2.5 inch. I side-tracked this thread when I said that people keep saying there are no gains to be had despite there being a lack of evidence to prove such a statement. Nobody has dyno tested a car after a 2.5 inch to 3 inch exhaust swap even tho an exhaust change on this car is easy peasy...yet somehow this rumor (or straight up lie) keeps getting repeated. But, until we get a legit answer...

I will say my car rev'd faster it seemed after I went to aftermarket 2.5 (what I have now).
