Plain and simple ... wrong. Read the various bulletins. They specifically point to a hard part failure caused by the modification. They are looking at things like blowing a rod, cracked piston, snapped drive shaft, things like that. We repeat this over and over and over again and all we ever hear back is "you voided my warranty" and "they will void your warranty if you put a sticker on the window" and it gets tiring.

Try making the same comment in 1/3 of your posts over the past 5 years then tell me about better etiquette.

Oh, and the pinhead comment? Etiquette, meet kettle. Was not needed.

Wow...I maybe new to this forum, but you are a very confused individual. Quoting from Short-Throw, "In the warranty booklet there are 4 separate notations that modifying the vehicle from the original production will void the warranty and repairs will not be covered...The bottom line is when a calibration is changed the car is altered and GM has stated it does not warrant repairs once the vehicle has been altered. I'm not sure why this is such a hard concept to grasp."

All of these parts have to be ordered by a Certified GM Performance Parts Dealer and must be installed by a GM certified technician to avoid warranty issues:

1. Shorty Headers: $1,000 MSRP - GM Part # 92213295 (Available 3Q)
2. Exhaust Upgrade Package: $950 MSRP - GM Part # 92206992 (Available now)
3. Air Box: $450 MSRP - GM Part # N/A (Available 3Q)

$2,400 in basic upgrades and guess how much HP this will add?

Please post who exactly at GM told you this. Thanks in advance.

Because GM does not have the power to set aside the MM act. They can not void the warranty. CAN NOT. All that they can do is not honor under warranty repair for that item on that day.

Arrow I forgot to mention...

One more thing... GM-Tech said the official GM legal verbiage that is used is "Warranty Block".

Hence, the "Warranty Block". I will use this phrase going forward when posting to your comments, so that you don't flip out.

GM Performance Parts customer service number is 1.800.450.4150. GM's website states, "The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, negligence, or damage caused by the installation of parts that are not approved by GM." Also, the following website has some additional information:

So are you saying someone at the GM Performance Parts customer service center (probably a clerk?) told you this?

No, that's not what I'm saying... The parts are listed on PDF file I attached in another post. I called GM Performance Parts to verify the information.
