I used to use a great white drying towel exclusively. Now I got a dry me crazy towel and use the great white for touch up afterwards. The dry me crazy towel is amazing!

How old are you that you think a waffle weave is old school? That's basically saying the great white is "old school".

Also try water sheeting before you dry your car, helps a lot..

If your car is protected and maintained, sheeting the water should be 90% of the water removal.

I use the leaf blower from my Craftsman's Wet/Dry Vac. Drys without leaving any spots & gets the water out of all the hidden places.

Therefore, waffle weave drying towels are now old school. Also, before you guys all get your collective panties in a wad, I did include a wink face indicating it was a tongue in cheek comment. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2

My Great white towel should be here in a couple of days, replacing a year old Megs waffle weave drying towel that worked fairly well. Started to have to use my Adams Waterless Wash towels though as well because the Megs stopped working as well.
Thinking of placing an order at the beginning of the year with MM for a couple of towels to try them out. |

I use white towels - and I used to experience the same issues -- until I realized that you have to stop using regular detergents and fabric softeners....which, by the way, build up in the cotton.
To get rid of the detergent/goop build-up - boil some water in a big stock pot - put in a cup or two of white vinegar - bring to a boil - take off the heat - and use a wooden spoon to push a couple of towels into the liquid...don't cram them in......you may have to do this a couple of times to get all your towels done..... let it cool a bit - and then wash them in the hottest water available in your machine - and then rinse.....then dry in a clothes dryer. I use "Dreft" laundry soap to wash them now - (it's used for diapers and such) - and I no longer have problems with streaks or fuzz or a towel that won't take up the water........ Every couple of uses, I put them thru the washer with a couple of cups of vinegar......... I suggest this for micro-fiber towels as well as 100 percent cotton bath towels...
