SRP Heel Guard Installed... Check it out

I just thought I would share. I purchased SRP Pedals a few years ago and was very happy with the quality and look. Around the same time I also purchased some Lyodd mats. I loved the look of the combination, but over time my Lyodd mats started to wear like any other floor mats. I stumbled upon the solution to my problem on the SRP web site. I did not initially see these heel guards back when I ordered my pedals. I know they may not be for everyone, but I think it adds a nice touch with the pedals and I have pretty much bullet proofed my floor mats now. It only cost me about $50 bucks and is available in a number of different finishes. They attach right to the floor mat with four provided fasteners and allen head screws. Enjoy…

Just what I need. I e-mailed Lloyd's the other day about buying a single mat as mine is wearing too. Better looking and cheaper option. Thanks

A couple have IM'ed me in regards to how these attach to the mat. They come with 4 tee nut fasteners that bite down into the rubber side of the mat. There all 4 Allen head screws provided. You just get it in position and poke a reference hole in the mat for your starting position.

It can be ordered as part of the set from Sullivan Racing Products.

Just received mine today. How did I ever miss this. I have not taken the car out yet, but from sitting in it, it's going to take a bit of getting used to. Your heel is now on a firm surface instead of the cushy floor mat.
