Of course, I could have no f*#king clue too!
Good to know. Maybe the new pistons, rods, bearings idea that Zeke posted is the way to go.

so what type of difference would i notice if i went with different rods and pistons and such, or would it be a waste of time and money?

Only difference would be the lighter wallet. It's just when you start to really push things the forged parts can take some more abuse. They will still fail, just don't ask me how I know that.

All depends on your budget and the future plans. If your just doing a cam you prob don't need to go that crazy. It's really up to you.

Nah, I don't need the stronger parts. I have to cut .1" eyebrows into my existing pistons, that's option A, or replace the pistons with pre-dished ones. Tough decision.

I personally would buy aftermarket pistons that already have enough clearance.

Enough votes and I'll do it. It really is a friggin toss up for me right now. I think the fly cutting would go ok, but should anything happen, I'll be buying new pistons anyways.

And if you're changing pistons may as well build the engine while you have the opportunity.....

Decisions decisions...

And not pistons and rods made of diamonds like Jamie buys!

Oh yea! Crank is good for 1k horsepower.

What are your goals bud? Want spray? Boost? NA with a lil spray every now and then? Now would be a good time to think about that.
