Strut brace install

I have an 11 SS and I bought the GM strut brace + the install kit off ebay. I've seen a bunch of `10's and `11's with this strut brace and install kit and am wondering if there is a DYI post for this.

Do you have the pre-drilled holes on top of the shock tower, if you do all that should be needed is to bolt it on......I'd suggest using red Loctite on the bolts.

No, the strut tower on the 2011's weren't built for the strut brace (except the conv were) so there are holes.

Looks like you may need to drill some holes then, didn't the brace come with any directions on how to install it?

I bought the strut tower brace, and I have a 2011. Mine already had the holes drilled for the brace. I would think they were all pre-drilled?

The early 2011s did not have the strut towers that accept the factory strut tower brace. I had a late model 2011 that did.

My 2011 had the dome tower strut with no holes like the later model 2011. The kit came with instructions but I was hoping someone might have taken a video of the install. Guess I'll be the first.

I checked to see if I could a write up or video of the install but came up empty handed, if you can it probably be a big help to others in the future.....if you do a write, take a lot of pics.
