I don't know if I would want active video playback while driving in my Camaro though so I am hoping this is like OEM.

I'm wondering if this has aux inputs other than the front, back and web cams cause I would hook up a game system from time to time.
I know it's easy to bypass, but curious to know if it's bypassed by default.

Plug RL Green-Black wire is negative(-); Green wire is positive(+)
Plug RR Purple-Black wire is negative(-); Purple wire is positive(+)
Plug FL White-Black wire is negative(-); White wire is positive(+)
Plug FR Gray-Black wire is negative(-); Gray wire is positive(+)

People without Boston Acoustic system are fine.
Can you please clarify how the plugs work. The picture you have of the plug makes it look like you combine the positive and negative into one plug? That doesn't make sense to me.

Can someone please explain this to me?

Personally I am not watching movies when I am driving, so I don’t know but I try tomorrow we’ll see.

Update: Today I did play the DVD during driving without any warnings.

The middle post is positive the housing is negative and they are isolated.
I did check the picture and on the picture looks like they are connected but they’re not.

That sounds like how it should operate only when parking brake is set. Grounding it to the parking brake wouldn't allow for constant video playback rather it would only allow for it to playback while the parking brake is engaged.

Grounding it to any regular bolt keeps the connection. Which I did with my head unit in my suzuki. I never even use the video play back though. Which is a good thing.

Right - but having the VIM (vehicle in motion) bypass allows you to enter addresses, phone numbers, etc. while you're moving - which is sort of nice.

I actually don't know how I feel about that. I agree it's nice for those who can do it safely. Plus I'm sure I'd use it too but I'd hate to hear it being involved in a serious accident.

Are you looking into switching out your mylink?

No - I'm fine with the look of the MyLink, and if/when I want to have more features I'll just root the firmware.

That the same as texting on a cell phone . It hard to input a address without looking a the screen.

Right, not going to argue that - but when you have a passenger sitting next to you, it'd be nice if they could input an address while you drive.

With Google Voice Search you can use speech as the avenue to input the address to navigate to or phone number to call... works better than Siri.

And what Stig says... I agree!

MyLink (well mine anyway) doesn't support voice commands for inputting your destination
