Strange Chirping Noise
This strange chirping noise is back on my 2012 V6. I purchased this car back in Dec '12 and last winter this noise appeared. I live in LA and during the hott summer this noise did not appear at all. As soon as it got cold (50-60 degrees F) at night the sound appears. It's on the drivers side and i can't seem to pinpoint the sound. Anybody got a clue to what it could be? My last resort would be spraying DW40 in every place imaginable just to get this annoying sound out!!! |

I have the same chirping noise. Ive found out that its the blower motor for the heater/AC!.
Turn the fan OFF and see if the noise disappears.

On my 2010 SS my drive belt jumped a rib on the lower pulley and that was causing the chirping sound. I got the belt on correctly, I never heard it again. Maybe you got same problem.

When I took it to the dealer and had the service manager ride with me he played with the AC and heater control and it seemed to stop when he turned the heater on. So he replaced the motor thinking it would fix the problem but the noise still occurs even when I don't have the AC or heater on. I'm thinking it could possibly be underneath the car or even under the hood??

Did the noise only occur while you were moving? I'll have to take a look at the belt.
