Catch can does work.

So this after about 5-6k miles. Last oil change. This 1/2 cup or 4oz. Some say its a very minimal amount that is collected but this seems like a lot. Is this normal?
I guess it does collect for those non believers!

I'd say that's about normal. I get a 1/2 to 3/4 of an ounce every 1000 miles.

The amount seems to be slowing down just a bit as I put more miles on the engine. I just emptied mine after 1500 miles and there was just a little over 1/2 ounce in the can.

How many miles on your engine?

I get about this much every 6000 miles. Glad I don't have as much to drain out.

It may look like more than it really is. I don't think its much at all. So I'm satisfied.

Better than some guys who were getting a whole water bottle every 2-3k

I think my '12 V6 caught about 5 ounces from 1500 miles when I put the can on to 18,900 when I traded it in. I hear a proper break in makes a difference on the amount of blow by you have, and my old car literally left the dealer with 14 miles on the clock pedal on the floor, squawking tires. Guess I did it right, lol.

That is a normal amount during warmer weather. I have had mine now for over 45K miles. I collect approx. 1 oz / 1000 miles.

This is my drained fluid after 5000 miles.
