I have the 2LT/RS with the 20" polished aluminum wheels, and my husband just bought snow tires and wheels for the winter...
Since this car is my daily driver, I need the added protection....
Hopefully, we won't get too much snow here in NY this winter...

Can anyone tell me how the 2ss handles in the rain. My last camaro was a 93 and it was all over the place.
Thanks

I say don't worry about snow

Buffalo doesn't have terrible winters, but if we can drive anything, assuming you know how to drive, you'll be fine

it's not just about being able to drive... it's also about not getting stuck lol! we get a lot of snow here in indiana and if it's anything like last winter it's going to be BAD this year. i really am starting to believe though that i won't get my car until early next year. i want to make sure i save up exactly how much i want to make sure i don't have an outrageous payment... and that could take me another 4 months at least! maybe 6 depending on how much i want to save. which means i have no clue when to order my car now

Not getting stuck is a lot of good driving practices too. Combined with good winter tires (-not- all season tires) and you'll almost never get stuck!

Just drive slow, cautiously, and you'll be great!

All 2010 Camaros have Stabilitrak (vehicle stability control) as well as traction control.

Strongly suggest purchasing Pirelli Ice and Snow tires for winter driving.....

"Thor" had a set on him when I first got him -- drove him to the airport - and when I returned, we had 8 inches of snow on the ground and it was still coming down- I was genuinely surprised at how well he did in the heavy snowo -- both on I-94 as well as the Lodge and Fisher Freeways, city streets and even my unplowed driveway.

-- already purchased a set for Mom Settlemire's Camaro -- she lives in Pittsburgh which is nothing but hills.....

when i read getting snow tires would help, i thought oh good, that's what i'll do, but i can't even find any tires that will fit the 20's :( i found one and they are only sold in canada and REALLY expensive. well really expensive for me LOL! geesh it's like one thing after another keeps going wrong... i'm starting to think the universe doesn't want me to have this car!

There are cars you just don't see out in Indiana when it snows over 2". Corvettes, Vipers, High end Mustangs, Challengers, Porsches, and 2010 Camaros

There's a reason for this.

I have a 93 model and really never worried about taking it out in any weather but ice. I bought the car in 93 and haven driven it through 8" to 10" of snow here before. Driving in the rain you just got to take it easy in the turns and from dead stops. I'm hoping I won't have to find out in the 5th Gen, plan on keeping her put away during inclimate weather.

i wish i could afford to have a second vehicle so i could do that. i would have to drive this no matter what the weather. a friend of mine had a 03 (maybe it was older) mustang and she had to get rid of it because it was just too hard to deal with in the winter. she got stuck in her own drive way more times than she cares to remember. stories like that keep freaking me out.

Do they offer those Pirelli winters for the 19 20 factory wheels? Just curious.
