**** AMEX, had a card with them for 5 years, never missed a payment until one month my bank, not me didnt make the automated payment until the day after the due date, had about a 6k balance on an 8k credit card, so they send me a message saying they are canceling the account, 2 weeks after i paid it off in full. I call them up and ask WTF, they say i had only been making the minimum payments and wasnt making any dent in my balance. First of all you are not my mother or my finance manager and if i want to just make the minimum payments until the end of time there isnt shit you can do about it. BS. Never get an amex card again.

..Sorry to say but they're running a business. And if making the minimum payments isn't netting the needed cash, they can dump you. Even though they are greedy bastards..business is business.

Visa did the same to my dad about 6 months ago (kinda). We were running good on low debt, so Visa decided in their infinate wisdom to try to squeeze more cash out of us by raising our interest rates from something low like 5-8%.. to 25%.

Needless to say I got a good laugh out of the verbal raping my dad gave the person over the line. Now I know where I get all of my /ragequit from..

lol yea Amex blowz. Treat customers bad then wonder why they do poor.

Almost everyone is on the other cards nowdays.

I was talking with a friend of mine on the phone when all of a sudden I hear a voice screaming and yelling in the background...

Turns out her mom had just flipped on an AMEX customer service guy and was basically "verbally raping" him.

I used to have a govt issued AMEX for TDY. It was lame. Even the govt fired them and changed cards.
