Is there a noticeable difference between an LS3 with and without resonators? I know the L99 is a big difference due to AFM.

I noticed a little difference. But nothing really big. Mostly sound

Even with a muffler delete you won't notice much difference. Removing the secondary cats will give you the most noticeable difference.

I should have clarified; I meant with LTH, no cats.

A tone difference. Especially at high rpm, it's a bit raspy.

I have LT's no cats and muffler delete. I left my resonators so I can pass inspection. It's just as loud with them in and I do have drone which doesn't bother me. It's twice as loud now that I had a cam installed.

Somewhere on this forum someone cut one open. It's straight through and just has wavy metal on the inside. Since it counts as a muffler I would leave it if you have muffler laws for inspection where you live if you have done a muffler delete.

Yeah it's a bit worse I think with them out. But I still love it! Lol my wife on the other hand hates it. If she's with me I rarely get on it and I cruise in 5th gear on the highways.

Yes I agree, the intent was that in some cases when it happens, they don't want anybody telling that side of the story. Definitely not all Vendors fall into this category. In fact it's usually not common. I just think their should be nothing wrong with saying what happened to you concerning a vendor, if something bad happened, without the fear of being banned off the forum.

Hahaha... My wife is the same way. If I get on it she will look and me and say "do you feel better now".
My daughter on the other hand if I'm doing 40 in a 40 will say "you can go faster you know" or she will just look at me and say "RACECAR". That means I'm suppose to get it!! Lmao

Okay thanks guys. I was looking at headers no cats, and a Borla ATAK axle back, so I wanted to know if the resonator will make a big difference.

The LS3 resonators are very small and probably don't do much. I wouldn't expect you to notice much if any difference. Even when I got rid of the one on my L99 and replaced it with a X pipe, there wasn't a big difference. It was a bit lower and a tad louder. No cats will definitely be raspy, even with the best resonator. Personally, I don't like the raspiness but you might. I ran catless for a couple months till I found a sweet deal on a set in the members for sale section.
