Axle-back or Catback?

I will be adding headers at some point, so will a catback be pointless? Should I just go with an Axle-back?

If you do long tubes with an x-pipe in there, it'll bolt up to the catback in most cases, so you'll have a full exhaust if you go catback. Some say there's no point with long tubes, but I still think it's worth having a full exhaust to the car. That's the way I would go.

You can't do Headers on a LFX engine.

IMO, just go with an axle-back

Crap, LFX engine is the V6 isn't it? I meant to submit this on the V8 threads! I have an SS lol. Does your opinion still remain the same about just the axleback?

For the SS, I prefer to go with a full cat-back simply due to the fact that there are not many good options for axle-backs IMO. My 2 personal favorites are the Stainless works Retro, and the Magnaflow 3" comp series. The Magnaflow street series is not a bad option either depending on how loud you like your exhaust.

Let me know what questions you may have, and I'll be happy to help you further!

Best regards,

Tyler
