Did about the same thing but without the middle slash. Like it though.

wasn't the area between the tail lights on the 1st gen painted black if you had a big block? I think it was done on most GM cars. Anyone know for sure?

Certain first-generation Camaro models had semi-gloss black-out paint applied to the body to influence the appearance. There were two types: a "ground-effect" black-out applied to the rocker-panel/body-sill area for certain exterior trim options and a blacked-out tailpan applied to SS-396 cars. There was also a paint color exception for the SS-396 tailpan black-out, but it was limited to black vehicles and the Z11 and Z10. Black SS-396 cars would not have received the (semi-gloss) blacked-out tailpans. But it should be noted that a few original paint black SS-396's have been observed with blacked-out tailpanels - the paint difference is only visible at the paint tape line. My satin black out panel on black. Subtle and ties the diffuser and ragtop together. |

I was just discussing this with a friend of mine that I wanted to take the block letters off and bring back the retro cursive emblem.
what website do you recommend to purchase these from?

My bad if I'm wrong, but doesn't your car have the Camaro lettering shaved? It looks like the car in your sig does....

Thanks. I use a dust free California car cover when the car is clean in the garage only. I hope you get a break from the snow so you can take a spin. We could use some of your snow and rain here though. We need it.
