Have you heard if anyone has had the LT-S setup out at a drag strip yet and if so how it held up? I just got a set of DRs a week or so ago and they are suggesting around a 4K launch which I'm sure isn't going to go over well for a stock clutch.

I post this not wanting to hear the "it's in a lighter Corvette" b.s.

I did this because of how you have to launch a Corvette properly. You have to slip the hell out of the clutch to keep from blowing the tires off and to keep from breaking things. What this does is put a ton of heat into the units. If it can handle the heat/abuse these guys throw at it the rest is pretty easy.

There are numerous guys who've gone low 11's on the lesser ZL1 clutch in their ZL1's. This clutch won't have any issues, and it's organic!

I installed my LT1-SC clutch last night. The shop I do my work at is about 40 min from my house. I got there and took the clutch out of the box only to realize I had left the instructions at home. Well crap, I thought, I need the torque specs. I googled Monster's phone number hoping someone might still be there. Chris answered the phone and I asked if he could email the instructions to me. Almost as soon as we hung up, I had the instructions in my inbox.

I have installed several twin disc clutches. This one was by far the easiest. Most of the assembly stays together, so no issues with keeping the multiple discs, floater plates, etc lined up. The pressure plate assembly did seem a little on the heavy side, but keep in mind, it was a whole assembly including one of the clutch discs and what would normally be a floater plate. Not sure if you can actually call this a floater plate the way it's bolted together. I feel the design will eliminate any noise at idle that many twin disc clutches suffer.

I still have to install my twin turbo kit before I get to try this thing out. Can't wait to get it all together and broken in.

The flywheel before I cleaned it off.

Made in the USA.

One of the discs. I actually took it back off and installed as a complete assembly using the alignment tool to hold everything in place.

And, I just thought this was a cool pic.

Good Deal....

Post up your thoughts on how drives on the street. This one is still top of my list. I'm just trying to squeeze a little more time out of my stock clutch.

Thanks for the kind words and glad to hear my guys taking care of customers!

I have no doubt you'll love it, everyone who's installed them does!

FYI - your "Made in the USA" picture doesn't work for some reason...

Have you gotten any feedback from our G8 customer that went with the LT1 clutch?

I called. He said he got snowed in before he could use it and that even though he is using a billet slave and large bore master, the clutch is butter smooth.

He'll be contacting us when the weather gets better.

Cool, thanks for calling him. He has been a good customer over the years so I'm sure he will give some good and factual feedback when he can.

Also, see post #10 in that thread that gives you insight on rebuilds for these units.

BY FAR the best deal out there, period!

I installed the Monster LT1-S twin clutch in my Camaro SS on 12/7/13. I'm very impressed, I absolutely love it!
Softer pedal then stock to say the least, I can't say enough about it! No noise or issues at all. I'm very pleased with it!

I didn't weigh the difference between the stock and the Monster LT1-S clutch assemblies, but they feel about the same weight, maybe the Monster feels a little lighter, but as Steve noted- it's not just the weight, it's where the mass is located, with the mass of the Monster LT1-S it's more toward the center (smaller pressure plate circumference), seems to rev a little faster witch I like.
There really isn't one thing I can say that I don't like about it!
The install went great, took my time and made sure everything was perfect. It's almost as easy as installing a single disc clutch!

No more sticking clutch pedal like the stock did since I bought the car new.

The Monster clutch co. customer service is Great, I can go on an on!
Steve is very helpful and knowledgeable, and stands by this clutch. And I can see why!
