I can guarantee the SS will be a failure and be dropped after a couple years.

Austrailan 2013 Holden Commodore - almost the same but better looking.

It's the same damn car with a Chevrolet badge. Literally.

I like the idea of the SS. Haven't driven one yet, but saw one at the dealership yesterday. Nice Brembos on the front wheels but cheap-looking budget calipers (bare metal, no covers) on the back.

That's one thing I'd find pretty cool about it....it would be a very RARE car to own.

Then by the time you take it and modify some of the cosmetics a bit, it would be even harder to tell. Some people would just assume it is a foreign make.

The older fellas would never believe the "SS" is back.

If you wanted to really confuse people you could stick one of these on the back

Pretty won't get you stopped any better, assuming that the braking system was properly engineered in the first place.

Anything that obstructs caliper cooling (i.e. covers) will actually detract from brake performance, particularly with respect to hard braking and fade. From that point of view, covers have a very negative look about them.

Nice 4 door muscle car. i'm sure they will sell every one to someone who wants speed in an unassuming car. I think of those who bought that front drive 5.3 V8 impala. Not much to look at IMO, but it was an SS with a V8.

I'm waiting to see when GM will be putting the new LT1 and 8 speed auto in it. Don't want to be like the new Stingray and buy early only to see a better tranny in a year.

I will be trading my daily driver Malibu and this will be my new daily. I want to wait until the '15 specs to see if there are different exterior color options or a quad tipped catback like the Jeff Gordon edition at SEMA. 2 v8s might kill me on insurance and at the pump, but hey....I'll just be car poor

You can thank Ford for the 4 door performance car when back in the 90's they made the Taurus their NASCAR race car and came out with the SHO...

This is the pricture I saw that made me think the car looks - hummm okay. So far I've hated the look of the car. The front of the car is the best part of the car, but still a little bland.
If this spoiler/wing comes on the SS, it will help improve the rear view amd makes it looks less like a rental car.

This is the view of the SS, I just can't get over. Doesn't do anything for me.

I also like these wheels and they give the car a little more aggressive look. Will they be an option for the SS?

This road test has some nice pics of the car. Black is the best color IMO.

I was a fan of the G8 GXP (another Aussi car). I was suprised it was such a slow seller.
That one of the reasons why I don't think the Chevy SS will sell very well. It might have some decent sales at first, but then they are going to sit on the lot (like the G8s did).
The Chevy SS is a lot more bland looking than the GXP.

Rear drive, 4 doors, LS3 under the hood, why didn't it sell well?

But one thing is the Chevy SS will be the ultimate sleeper car. No one will think its fast. Then you can blow their doors off.
