Well Gus, I am sorry to hear that you got the run around. It is just a shame that everyone is pointing fingers at GM for the dealers lying to them. ITS NOT GMs FAULT! They dont owe you anything. If you have a problem with the dealer I agree something needs to be done but it is not GMs responsibility to be giving out free stuff becuase the dealers are sleazebags. Again, I am sorry you got the run around. And when I say homework I mean knowing how the allocation process works and what the right questions to ask are. They can etll you they have an allocation and it is not lying. You didnt ask WHEN to allocation was for. I went to my dealer with tons of information on allocations and everything... made it very simple. As you can see, I sat at 1100 for 4 weeks waiting too. Not a big deal.

it's supposed to mean that the parts are coming together for your build...but some of us have been at 3400 for over a week now!!!

Dude, not be the devil's advocate but GM did need several billion dollars from the US government to stay afloat. I do agree with you though that for a 30k investment everyone should have done a thorough homework. I spent 3 months across four states to find the deal I wanted. It takes time, but it is worth cutting the red tape. There was hell no way that I was going to pay 5k above MSRP even if the car is on demand.

On another note. The car is gorgeous, and if you find a good dealer you can get your car 8 to 12 weeks from when you order.

12 weeks is a big deal and still there!
After 40 years of buying GM products, I do beleive they owe me something.
They Franchise these dealers, so they still have some responsibility to their customers. I was not asking for anything, just to get my car.
