top leaking so add me to the list. help

so some of you know I'm a rookie so give me the water in the floor behind the driver seat low down. I've read a lot about it and hoped mine wasn't doing it. But I checked it and its very damp. I got the car in Texas and they had lots of ice and rain last week. There is a recall on my top that I'm takin in next week, so any suggestions I should say to them? My seals in the rear don't look good either like so others on here. I just wanna do this once and get it fixed. Its not a daily driver so they can keep it till its fixed. Thanks guys, steve.

Sounds likely that you are having issues with the water management system. There is a newer designed bag to address the issue when it comes up that deals with the issues of drainage better. If close to the dealership, I would recommend taking it in while it is still wet so that they can confirm the problem and schedule replacement of the bag. Might also have them replace carpet and pad to prevent mold/rust/etc.

Check your top for the wear marks and other issues as well, so that while they have the top fully apart, they can address all issues at the same time (including possible canvas ... or even better, full mechanism replacement).

Good luck with this, hopefully you will have the matter resolved fully!

having installed a few convertible roofs myself, I'm surprised they don't all leak!

Don't go to the same dealer Angrybird went to! We recently noticed that ours had started leaking into the right rear floorboard. Took it in and it wasn't the water management bag system at all. The service writer told me they have had several where one on the seams inside right quarter panel began to leak. They had to take out the right rear window assembly to get to the seam and reseal it. I'm not saying yours isn't the water bag, but I haven't read any posts on the seam leaking especially since our dealer has repaired several verts that were leaking. Try to search on here for a dealer that knows how to work on it and save yourself a lot of headaches or visit the ones in your area and talk to them before hand.

Doubt that will happen ... opposite ends of the state (around 500 miles away)
