Unhappy BBK 102mm Throttle body Engine Power Reduced!!!

Today I installed a BBK 102mm throttle body on my 2010 ss A6 and i went to start it up and engine power reduced came across the dash and all the power was gone. Do i need to tune it to get more fuel or is something wrong witht he TB or did i do something wrong on the install?

Well you need to have the car tuned for the 102 but it shouldn't be going to reduce power mode. Disconect the bat and try again

It'll go away, but I would tune a 102 TB to act and perform right.

here is a pic if you are curious. It was a gift i was expecting the 95mm but was told the 102mm would work still. i have no problem getting a tune but i would like to be able go faster than 12 mph i pulled the battery and now im getting the code p2176 idle not learned any ideas

I hate to sound negative but it could be a 202mm TB on a stock intake and it will still be a 90mm opening. I just don't see how it will increase performance, even though a FAST 102 intake and a FAST 102 TB won't make that much difference on a cam only car.

Wht are your mods?

It isn't negativity, what Litle said was the truth. And it is better that someone speaks the truth than just nods their head in agreement. That extra size difference won't help out at all on a stock manifold. Here I am sticking up for him, and I can't even stand him, lol!!

I definitely agree with you, that's what forums are for, Im not sensitive. I believe i stated it earlier it was a gift so i put it on, but not im going to buy the fast 102mm intake and possibly a couple other things. Im open to suggestions and all opinions.

I think technically the LS3 intake opening is 93mm but that 102mm TB has got to be hurting vs helping. Take the stock TB with you when you dyno. Since it only takes about 15min to change you can know for sure.

On a side note I would like to see a 95mm TB on the stock LS3 IM. Would like to know if there is a smooth transition from TB to IM or if there will be turbulence because of the 2mm difference.
